What's the best time of year to move home in Dubai to avoid the heat and peak prices?
I'm planning a move between areas in Dubai and want to avoid the worst of the summer heat and the most expensive periods. Is there a particular time of year that's better for moving, and do prices vary much across the year?

The best time to move home in Dubai is between October and February, when temperatures drop to a far more manageable 20–28°C. Moving in summer — particularly June to September — is genuinely gruelling, with outdoor temperatures regularly hitting 42–46°C and humidity making it feel worse. It also puts significant strain on moving crews, which can slow the job and increase the risk of heat-related damage to furniture, electronics, and certain materials.
From a cost perspective, moving companies in Dubai tend to be busiest at the end and start of each month (when lease agreements turn over) and during September, when the new academic year drives a wave of relocations. If you have flexibility, mid-month moves in November or January typically offer the most availability and competitive pricing.
If you do have to move in summer, schedule the move early morning — ideally starting at 7am — before the worst of the heat. Ensure the destination property has functioning AC before arrival, and factor in extra time for crew rest breaks. Wrap heat-sensitive items carefully and keep electronics in a climate-controlled vehicle if possible.
On BidMyJob, you can post your move and compare quotes from licensed removal companies across Dubai and the UAE to find the best availability and price for your timeline.
